John is widely seen as the most notable promoter and organizer of disc sports in Colorado and around the country. He created the United Flyers of Sonoma, served as co-TD for the Nor-Cal IFA tournament in 1976, and has helped install over a dozen disc golf courses in Colorado. John threw discs even before they were called discs, and distinctly remembers the first time he threw a Pluto platter. Ever since that day in Marysville, CA, he’s been hooked and has spent years to promote and grow the sport of disc golf.
