Dynamic Discs Open Designated as Phase 2 Event, Santa Cruz Masters Cup Moves Forward

The Dynamic Discs Open (DDO) has been designated and will be operating in phase 2 of the PDGA Elite Series COVID-19 Policies & Best Practices Document. The PDGA follows state and local COVID-19 policies and guidance. The DDO team, the PDGA, and the DGPT have worked with Lyon County and the parks department to ensure the event can run in accordance with city guidance which limits what events can operate. Regarding the State of Kansas and the City of Emporia, both entities allow for the PDGA to operate the event in accordance with state policies and the Elite Series COVID-19 Requirements & Best Practices.

We look forward to the second National Tour event of the season, the Dynamic Discs Open, which will run from April 28 to May 1, 2021, in Emporia, Kansas.

Additionally, we are pleased to announce that the third event on the PDGA National Tour, the Santa Cruz Masters Cup, is moving into final event planning stages. Phase designation for the Masters Cup will be announced two weeks prior to the event.  

The Santa Cruz Masters Cup Host team and the PDGA have worked with the Santa Cruz County Board of Health and the County parks department to ensure the Santa Cruz Masters Cup can run in accordance with local guidance with regard to the Covid-19 pandemic. Regarding the State of California and Santa Cruz county, all entities allow for the PDGA to operate the event in accordance with state policies and the PDGA Elite Series COVID-19 Policies & Best Practices
