Position Title: PDGA Europe Marketing & Media Manager

Responsible to: PDGA Europe Board of Directors

Background: PDGA Europe is a continental arm of the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA), the global governing body of the sport. PDGA Europe staff and volunteers currently include an elected and appointed Board of Directors, a Tour Manager (contractor based in Czechia) and an Administrator (employee based in Helsinki, Finland). In addition, PDGA and PDGA Europe partner with 30 affiliated national disc golf and disc sports associations in the European countries. Position Summary: PDGA Europe is seeking a highly organized and motivated, customer service-oriented professional for the position of Marketing & Media Manager. The successful candidate will become a key member of the PDGA Europe team, playing the leading role in PDGA Europe’s social and traditional media presence, and supporting the Tour Manager, particularly in the organization and delivery of the Euro Tour Series of events. As such they will be in the forefront of disc golf and PDGA activities on the European continent.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead responsible for PDGA Europe and Euro Tour social media channels, ensuring content and visibility is consistently updated on a timely basis including photos, short videos and stories, representation of sponsors and the PDGA Europe E-Shop, etc.
  • Produce content on PDGA Europe happenings for inclusion at the PDGA website and in the PDGA e-newsletter, together with quarterly content for the PDGAs DiscGolfer magazine including full length stories and accompanying imagery
  • Support the Europe Tour Manager in all aspects of the delivery of the annual Euro Tour Series
  • Manage the ongoing log of Euro Tour tasks, facilitate the on-time delivery of same
  • Handle other European PDGA event related tasks as assigned by the Tour Manager
  • Other projects and tasks as identified and assigned by the Tour Manager & Europe Board of Directors

Essential Qualifications:

  • Disc golf enthusiast, familiar with PDGA and the European scene, events and players
  • 3+ years formal education and/or job experience in Sports Management, social and traditional media and/or a related field
  • Proficient in graphics, video editing, social media copy and ads
  • Skilled in Meta Business Suite, Meta Ads Manager, Meta pixel, Google Analytics
  • Proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator/Photoshop and Standard Video Editing software
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • High level of English language verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, time and project management skills
  • Consistent, reliable, and courteous communications when dealing with PDGA Staff, members, volunteers, external customers/partners, and spectators
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently in a changing and multi-tasking environment
  • Professional image in personal appearance, manner, and demeanor
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, flexible, able to deliver results on time

Other Requirements:

  • Position is open to PDGA members who are citizens and residents of Europe.
  • Successful candidate will be required to work flexible hours including Euro Tour event weekends.
  • Expense-paid travel is required.
  • Background check required.

Compensation:

  • Average 35 hours per week salaried position commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Starting salary range of EUR 30-36,000 per annum based on experience and home country cost of living.
  • Given PDGA Europe is registered and based in Finland, a successful applicant from Finland would be hired as an employee and in accordance with Finland employment law. A successful applicant from another European country would be hired as an independent contractor.
  • 20 days holidays per annum
  • PDGA issued equipment provided to perform duties
