PDGA Competition Committee Seeks New Members

The PDGA Competition Committee is looking to add one to three volunteers to its membership. The committee's primary work is updating and revising the PDGA Competition Manual for Disc Golf Events, as well as working closely with the Rules Committee and Majors/NT Working Group to address issues related to disc golf competition. Chairman Jay "Yeti" Reading and board liaison Mike "Sully" Sullivan will be reviewing applications and will make the ultimate selections.

Ideal candidates either will have extensive tournament director experience, will have played various tiers and sizes of amateur tournaments in different areas of the country, or both. The successful applicant will be very familiar with the Official Rules of Disc Golf and the Competition Manual, will be able to construct arguments for and against proposed changes to the sport's regulations, and will be highly proficient in written English.

Availability for quarterly conference calls and regular communication through digital channels will be expected. Applicants are required to be members in good standing with the PDGA and maintain such status while serving on the committee.

  • Contact information
  • Disc golf resume (a representative sample of events run and/or played) 
  • Brief statement (500 words or fewer) detailing your interest in serving on the committee and how your skills and experience would benefit such service 

Applications will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. on February 8, 2020, with members slated to begin work with the committee by February 18, 2020.
