Description

Spectacular views of Mt. Rainier and inner Quartermaster Harbor. Bring a course map. Camping at the Vashon Hostel. Poorly marked - yellow jacket hives and piles of dead thorn thickets. Medium length. Starts open with a nice downhill drive, working into more challenging holes from #4-8 and finishing in a nice open area. Seems to stay dry even when raining. No charge to play.

Directions

Vashon Island is accessible from Fauntleroy (West Seattle), Southworth (Port Orchard), and Pt. Defiance (North Tacoma) for bike and car traffic. Also - a passenger/bicycle ferry during the week goes from downtown Seattle terminal (passenger boat dock 1 block south of main terminal). The course is on the old Burton School grounds - just one block south of the only bridge on the island - the Judd Creek Bridge. This is just west off of Vashon Hwy on 228th, 100 yards up the road, upper entry. 1st tee is below first parking lot on the right.
