Course Reviews
A long standing course, that along with Wellspring, make Cedarock Park a disc golf destination. Other than the few years that it was a 20 hole layout, changes and additions over the years continue to make this a model for open courses. Recently added tee signs are superb, though some holes should have more than just one. Some of the sign assigned par 4's are arbitrary and asinine, especially considering that we've been playing this course from all tees to all basket positions as a perfect par 54 for nearly thirty years. To call the gold layout a par 60 is just silly.
I would give it a 2.5/5. If you get out here to play Wellspring, you might as well play Cedarock. Take the online map. There are concrete tees with diagrams but it can still be difficult to figure which basket you're throwing to, as often times you can see several baskets from the tee. I was able to follow behind a group that had played here before. I believe most baskets had 2 tees (long and short). Good course to practice longer shots as there aren't many obstacles in your way, and if you have a bad throw, you can easily make it up on your next throw.
A very nice course to play. I tried this course out as a fresh beginner first timer. The online map was helpful, but the course wasn't too hard to navigate.
Pros: Very open with nice grass and wooded areas lining the course. Rolling hills make for some interesting diversity. This course has tees and baskets in multiple directions which can definitely test skill.
Cons: One or two of the baskets are really far for par 3 shots.
Overall a very nice course!!!
Con: Confusing layout at times- signs would be great to have, print the online map. A few holes are very long, and should probably be played as par 4's instead of 3's, while some are so short they should be 2's. Watch out for horses walking the course!
Pro: Individual holes are well designed. Alternate pads for beginners, experts, etc. Not usually crowded. Lots of nice elevation changes. Two pin placements per hole.
A very good intermediate level course that rewards longer-distance throwers. A fairly dry creek-bed that is in-bounds is a very real hazard that runs alongside a number of holes. No real OB areas, and the underbrush is generally low and light, but some poison ivy is around. Good course to walk with your kids.
I absolutely love Cedarock park. This course is mainly wide open, but allows you to really air out several shots. Great tee boxes with variety based on if you want to play from the pro tees or not. This is the first course I ever played & is a favorite in my book. If you have a chance & you're in the area you should check it out.

My first time playing was on this course. Mostly wide-open fairways. There's one creek, which (of course) I found! lol
