I played there with a few friends and I will have to say it was the best course I've ever played, I didn't have any problems with up keep

I give this course a 4.5 and round it up. I have never had problems with the long grass, only with the monstrous briar patch on hole #2. Lots of holes for you to throw long drives on, and some shorter, slightly technical holes as well. I've never had to pay for anything but parking here.

Pros: beautiful course, good course length, great selection of discs on sale at the main office.

Cons: gotta pay for entry into the park, and the course is a lot tougher of it's windy.

I played this one in February and it was SO windy. You're essentially playing on the top of a mountain. I loved this one. Once you enter the park though be VERY careful and keep your eyes out for deer....cause on my first trip to disc golf here...I killed my first deer....with my car....so yeah, be careful.

Played today. WINDY. The wind plays big time into your game. Love the elevation changes and make for some interesting tee shots. Few holes have high Ace potential. $2 a round is a bit silly. Good course, good layout, but there are too many great courses closer to me that are free.

Also, the office has to have the best selection of Innova discs of anybody else in Chattanooga. If you need it, I bet they have it. In any kind of plastic.

Beautiful setting, good mix of hole difficulty, several pins blind to tee. I've had better luck with maintenance than others posting, but it's easy to lose discs in the woods.

If you get there at the right time (usually early in the morning), when the guard is NOT in his booth, you do not have to pay to play. You're not breaking the rules... that's actually on the sign. You will still have to pay $3 for parking when you get up to the course, though.

If the guard is there, it's $2/player per round and it's something like $5 for parking.

Anyway, I love this course. I've played it quite a few times (all during the fall/winter months) so I haven't had to deal with high grass, but it's got quite a few WIDE open holes where you can actually throw some pretty hard drives, but still has some technical holes as well. Loads of fun... I just wish it wasn't so far away from Chattanooga... we need another course out there so we can make a day of it and go to both!

Pros: Terrific addition to a great state park! This course is always fun to play. Nice baskets and concrete tees. Wind and elevation are BIG factors on these 18 holes.

Cons: The grass can be long at times. Pay to play, so there is really no excuse for not keeping up with the course IMO.

Other Notes: Great disc selection in the main office. Be sure to stop by and check it out.

Course WOULD be great if a little upkeep was done. They have had to cut budgets, and they rarely mow the course. From what i hear it only gets mowed once a month and last time I went the grass was over knee high. Dont plan on throwing yellow, white or green disks.
Other than the grass issue, very good holes and layout. Nice mix of short and longs. Be prepared for wind.
