This course was initially designed to be an 18 hole course, but complaints from another group that wanted the park for their own interests forced the local government to restrict the course to 9 holes, and replaced the Tee Posts with ground markers. The course plays well, but the ground can be quite soft after a moderate amount of rain. The course plays well, and while mainly open, it has quite a bit of elevation change, given the shorter length. Hole #8 is one of the more unusual hole designs in the country. Built in 1992, the course is showing some age, but it is a great place to learn disc golf and grab a quick round. It is not a championship course, but, it was never meant to be. Given the original intent of the course, it covers that objective to this day, and does it well.
A cute little course, definitely hilly. Most holes are very much out in the open, but baskets are guarded by trees, or a creek, etc. Confined to a pretty small park, so it doubles back around on itself (i.e. you tee off for 4 in one direction, then go back to the same tee box for 7 and throw in the other direction), but it is laid out pretty well. A few holes are pretty close to the creek that runs parallel to the park... don't pull your shot too far right, or you'll drop your disc in the middle of the creek and have to wade out to get it (like I did!) Holes are marked by stones in the ground, rather than signs, which make it a little bit of a challenge to find each tee area, but it's nothing too problematic. A fun course to play casually, nothing too difficult about it.

The flood plane location, bad natural tees and tee signs, holes near walking paths and old baskets all conspire to keep Fishburn from getting a better rating. That being said, the elevation on the course is kind of nice and the creek is lovely when not overflowing into the fairways.
