Great course. All good. Grass and length and interesting holes. Historic and fun. A must play and worth the drive from any place in SoCal.

One of the oldest disc golf courses in the world. Along with Oak Grove, La Mirada and Morley Field, it is one of the 4 must-play courses in Southern California. Challenging and fun for all skill levels.....not an easy thing to be........this course is the birthplace of three World Champions (Travis Reynolds, John Ahart, and current and 5-timer Paul McBeth). A great pro shop, 3 leagues/events per-week, and a monthly tournament. Tough to beat this course for a great disc golf experience. Plenty of technical and challenging holes. A 1000-rated round is 7-under so bring your A-game.

Why are people saying this course is even decent? It is basically an open field someone put baskets up in with little shade. There is very little challenge as long as you can throw straight and far. The best course is SoCal I have found so far is Balboa Park in San Diego and that is good, but not great. Maybe I am spoiled coming from Austin. The Circle C course there was designed specifically for disc golf and has courses with slight left, strong left, slight right, strong right, and left/right turns. It has short 2 par and long 5 par courses. There are narrow sections and even "tunnels" out of trees. It basically is a challenge course. The Hunting Beach course has little challenge.

Nice course except when you play along the ledges. If you throw just a little to hard it will go rolling down forever.Hope you like hiking. This course is good for Intermediate players.Sometimes it can get busy and people in the way always causes a big hold up.

Mix of terrain, first and second hole are not a good representation of the rest of the course. Tall trees, easy to lose discs in.

Begins down on the dusty side but then transitions uphill to the grassy main section of the park. There are a few holes with some length to them and the coastal winds can bedevil. Pay-to-play is nice (helps give someone the incentive to keep the course well maintained).

The first hole is kind of ghetto, but it gets better. Two of the holes are on the edge of a hill, and if your disc ends up going down the hill, it's an adventure climbing down and back up.
