Panther Creek DGC is a championship level course located in Morristown, TN. This course is long and wooded with a ton of elevation changes. Easily taking the cake as the most difficult course in Morristown, Panther Creek is a course that you need plenty of time to play. While the course is mostly wooded, there are definitely some long open bomber holes that players (even pros) can really open up on with Holes 1, 9, and 14 really sticking out in my mind for this type of hole. Although you can crush on some of the more open holes, most of them finish with the basket placed in a wooded area where touch is still needed to get your birdies. Make sure you take plenty of water, snacks, and bug spray because this course is going to take a while to play. It would also be preferable to bring a friend or two with you as some of the rough is really rough. While this is an amazing course, it is definitely not beginner friendly. If you take a new player out to this course, you may break their will and they may never want to play disc golf again. With that being said, this is probably the most beautiful course in Morristown, with rolling hills and plenty of wildlife to be seen. As advertised, this is a long course with several big (and often steep) hills. Tees and targets in great shape and signage is good at beginning and end of each hole. Pay attention to the hole diagrams at the tees so you don't lose your way on those long 700+ foot holes through the woods. This course could be discouraging to beginners or anyone with issues walking steep inclines, especially on a hot day. Bring plenty of water and enjoy the challenge!
