Pike Lake State Park

I made the hour or so trip down from the c-bus and I gotta say, totally worth it. They did a great job on the infrastructure for this course, plenty of trash cans and benches all kinds of steps, ramps and bridges to help out with terrain where you need it. Good course layout good use of available space, you get close to like 1 shelter house/playground area but I don't see it being in the way except maybe on hole 18. Absolutely gorgeous park very tranquil place almost grove-like def has that "secluded" feel. Good mix on the golf side of things as well, uphill, downhill, control shots, couple power shots. Good workout, feels like it plays longer than the distance listed and your hill scaling skills will be tested. The only downside I see is pretty much all holes finish off to the right or straight ahead, even being a LHBH player a little variety there would've been nice but the obstructions and fairway configurations keep it from seeming repetitive. the tee pads on the hill tops are a little too small but given the schlep to get materials in place in there I cant really fault them for that. All in all a must play, a great off the beaten path course in rural southern ohio, make the trip for this one, you wont be sorry.
