Tricky wooded course. LOTS of poison ivy. Also, lots of hiking. Great course to play during hot days as most of the holes are in the shade.

The holes that go over the valley are a lot of fun. Experienced locals often play with just a putter.

Out of the 3-4 courses that are closest to my apartment (Chunns Cove Rd. area), Richmond Hill is my favorite. It's not an easy course, and beginners will have to get a hang of the nuances that were annoying as hell to me at first.

There're a few blind baskets where you have to just line up based on the map, throw a disc and hope you made the right calculations. The valley that cuts through the back nine increases the difficulty over the front nine considerably. The upside is that you'll get a nice leg workout.

Tress, trees, trees everywhere! Sometimes they're situated right in the middle of the perfect line toward the basket. There's a double mando on 14 that makes that hole a real challenge. Missing a put or chip shot in to the basket could result in your disc rolling for quite a ways due to the abundance of steep hills and drop offs on a lot of holes.

Overall, a great course to play multiple times in a week, especially to work on honing your accuracy skills to be able to maneuver around all the trees and the double mando.

Me - 200 ft., wife 125 ft. We found this course too narrow to enjoy. Sorry if we are of average skill. Hunting for discs every third hole is not fun when you cannot see where it came down in the first place. Great workout on the hills both up and down. If you are long and accurate you will enjoy. I was depressed because I purposely threw short and low so I could move on to the next hole and maybe throw hard there!

Got to play this course in a tournament last year...(Chains for Wishes) This year it's going to be on 8/6/11. Great valleys and very tough for Par 3 holes...overall great course and highly recommend to any level of player.....

this was a fun course, in the woods with lots of coniferous...tight shots are necessary for most of the holes, and there were a few that were crazy long...par 3 is tough to make for many to most, but it's a great time...i went on NYE and it was dead, but i suspect that it gets pretty crowded during peak season...it is asheville...
