Pros: -Greens are well defined, there are no pins that are placed in a bunch of random trees, which is typical for Georgia.
-Fairways are fairly well defined, and many holes offer 2 types of rough. Intermediate rough that is playable out of and the Primary rough for really bad shots.
-If you play the preferred flight paths in the fairways, there is no poke and hope golf shots through trees
-Landscaped greens and tee areas
-Two concrete tees (Some of the Am tees are still a work in progress) and Two pin locations on every hole.
-Well balance of Lefty, Righty, Straight shots
-Well balance of front 9 and back 9 of par 3's & 4's, 2 par 4's on each the front and back and #9 is a par 5
- Nice use of elevation with a few holes allowing for very long shots due to down hill elevation.
-Well design to allow other park pedestrians (non disc golfers) safety
-The front 9 and back 9 start and finish at parking lot
-Scenic lake views around a small lake on holes 11,12,17,18, Fish food available on tee 11
- Benches on every hole
- Bathrooms, Water Fountain at the turn, plenty of trash cans
Cons: -There are some Ticks and Chiggers in the wooded areas, bug spray recommended.
-Since it's a brand new course, some of the deep, deep rough is still a little rough with briars, and privet.
Other Thoughts: -After playing many courses in Georgia, IMO its the best Park course in the state. There are a couple of privately owned courses that may be better, but as city park courses go, it is one of, if not the best in the state.
-The county is very supportive of the course and disc golf
