McMahon withdraws after shoulder injury

​Round one of Discraft's Ledgestone Insurance Open is in the books for the FPO division. The women were able to narrowly avoid the rain and enjoy cool weather for excellent scoring conditions. 

Hailey King came out of the gates five down through six. A double bogey on hole 8 would slow down King's pace as she went OB on her second throw across the water. She nearly landed a throw-in from the other side of the water, but sneaked just past the chains and missed the comeback putt to save bogey. A second double-bogey on hole 17 resulted in King dropping out of a chance to be on the lead card going into round two. Read more at DGPT.com >>

McBeth Bests the Field in Round One

Across holes 8, 9, 13 and 14, the field averaged two strokes over par. Paul McBeth birdied all four of them -- and the three holes in between for good measure. That is 4-down on four of the more difficult holes on a day when 4-down would land you in the top 10. Read more at DGPT.com >> 

McMahon Withdraws With Shoulder Injury

Eagle McMahon withdrew from the Ledgestone Insurance Open presented by Discraft today after coming into the round with a slight injury to his shoulder. Early in the day, he aggravated it and tried to play through it. Read more at DGPT.com >>
