Description

In the high desert with an adjacent pitch-and-putt course just north of Reno. Maps at the park kiosk (tee signs are temps). Next tee arrows in baskets. Follow green stakes between holes. Quite long. The main course is separated into three 9-hole loops over sandy high desert hillsides with big junipers, granite outcroppings, and dry washes. The south-facing slope and set of ridges covered in native sagebrush, and cacti. Some dynamic elevation in a fairly open landscape. Protect the course. Be extremely careful with fire and don't break tree branches or disturb delicate cacti. Take relief from sage and brush (mark your lie directly on the line of play behind the obstacle). Use trails when possible. Pack it out trash policy.
