Description

Built on historic land that was once the site of a lumber mill, Sawmill features open holes, tightly wooded holes, and several that play in and out of the woods. The long tees are permanent Turf Pads that offer excellent footing. * Jan 2022 - short tees remain carpeted with plans to upgrade them. New tee signs to reflect the 24 hole layout are expected soon.

This course weaves its way through a beautiful piece of property. Old nature trails became overgrown as the park was underutilized until Sawmill was built. The property is used by disc golfers and a few friendly locals that still come out to walk the old trails.

Some holes open up for long drives and others require a skilled touch through the pines, palms, and oaks. A signature "Island Hole" will challenge players to hit the green or land OB for a one-stroke penalty. Another signature hole is #2, which is a long par 4 with a tight tunnel tee shot through a must-hit fairway gap, a giant lime-rock boulder and a forest of trees and trouble on either side. The green is beyond an intimidating wall of trees, for those seeking an elusive birdie.

Sawmill DGC is open for play from sunup to sundown 365 days a year and hosts a weekly Bag Tag Challenge open to all on Sundays at 9 am.
