PDGA Identity Verification
PDGA Identity Verification
Last updated: Monday, May 1, 2023 - 16:16
Purpose
The purpose of the PDGA Identity Verification program is to confirm that the collected member data the PDGA has on file for each member matches an acceptable form of identification.
Implementation
The PDGA Identity Verification program is required for participation at, and will be implemented for, PDGA events sanctioned at the Major level.
A PDGA member only needs to complete this process once. PDGA members who have previously provided an acceptable form of identification through a different program are exempt from this process.
Process
- PDGA members will provide acceptable identification to a PDGA staff member at a PDGA Identity Verification station prior to event check-in.
- Any PDGA member may optionally upload a digital photo or scan of an acceptable form of identification at any time in advance.
- PDGA staff will check to see if the player’s name, date of birth, and gender match the information on file in their PDGA member record.
- If the information matches, PDGA staff will mark the member as “verified”.
- If the information does not match, PDGA staff will mark the member as “pending” and direct the member to contact PDGA Policy & Compliance.
- Once their identity has been verified, the PDGA member may then proceed to check in for the event.
Acceptable Forms of Identification
Acceptable forms of identification must include the member’s full name, date of birth, and gender. Examples include:
