The year has come to a close in exciting fashion here at the Disc Golf Pro Tour. After nine events and a championship we now have two new Pro Tour Champions in their two respective divisions: FPO and MPO. The Pro Tour Championship featured four days of stiff competition which culminated in the crowning of our two champions.

Okay, this FPO season is starting to feel very unpredictable. At the Memorial, Paige Pierce announced that she did not expect to beaten all season. A month or so in and it seemed like a valid prediction. No one was coming close.

Then at Jonesboro, Sarah Hokom pushed Paige to the brink. Then Jessica Weese showed up. For real. She and Catrina went to a playoff in Utah. She went to another playoff against Valarie Jenkins at Ledgestone.

First hole of the Semifinals. Sarah Hokom hucks in a 60 footer for birdie. Yeah, she came to play. It was Semifinals Saturday and there was an air of anticipation in the air. Lisa Fajkus commented that the play today was much more stressful than the Quarters on Friday. Win or go home was not just a cute slogan.

Catrina Allen came out blazing, driving just inside circle 1 and drains the putt. Time to play. She won the Hall of Fame last weekend and continued her stellar play, shooting 4 down, the hot women’s round so far.

Card 1: 11:30 Card: Ricky Wysocki

Ricky Wysocki and Zack Johnson went note for note through the first seven holes. Hole 8, which is playing as the toughest hole on the course to par, bit Zack as he went OB but managed to save par. Two holes later, Zack missed his putt for par while Ricky hit his putt for birdie. The two stroke swing opened the lead to three. Two holes later, according to Ricky, “You could feel the group deflate as I was up by three or four with five or six to go. At that point I knew I was in control and it was mine to win.”
