Proposals to host a prestigious PDGA Major — pinnacle events of the disc golf world — will be accepted from June 3 through October 1, 2024. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your expertise, your passion for the sport and your local area on a global stage.

The PDGA will be accepting bids for 2026 and 2027 at this time. If there are no viable bids for 2027, all bid submissions will be considered for 2026, and the bid documents for 2027 will be re-issued in 2025.

As work continues on the restoration of the International Disc Golf Center in Appling, Georgia, USA, the PDGA has determined that the 2025 PDGA Champions Cup will not be contested at the site of the inaugural edition of the event.

For 2025, the fourth running of the PDGA Major will have a temporary home and will still hold its spot as a spring Major on the schedule at Swenson Park Disc Golf Course in Stockton, California, USA and will run from Thursday, May 1 through Sunday, May 4, 2025. Swenson Park is home to the proven elite-level track of the OTB Open.

Registration is now open for all four 2024 PDGA World Championships.

You can find full information and registration links on each event's landing page below (you'll want to refer back to this page for any important information) as well as direct links to each Disc Golf Scene page and registration schedule.

A new and upgraded Disc Golf Network platform was announced on Tuesday with the release of the 2024 DGN media plan.

At the forefront of DGN's recent migration to Insys Video Technologies as the network's service provider and an enhanced partnership with Amazon Web Services is the chance for disc golf fans to choose from multiple subscription plans as well as continue their benefits as an active PDGA member. DGN will now offer three plans: DGN Basic, DGN Standard and DGN Pro.

PDGA Major events are the premier competitions for disc golf each year, featuring the world’s best disc golfers competing for Major titles in multiple skill, age, and gender-based divisions. These PDGA marquee events offer any city or town the chance to host an international sporting event in their community, to draw interest and attention to the location, and to generate a significant economic impact for local businesses.

Hosting a PDGA Major is a challenging task, and interest was shown from several involved local organizing committees (LOC), meaning selecting these events was difficult, as so many excellent bid packages were submitted.

The best of the best — and the strongest field in the history of the prestigious tournament — has landed in Nokia, Finland for the 2023 European Open presented by Discmania. Many of the top players from the United States traveled to Norway to join the Euro Tour for the PCS Open last week and will now have a chance at a PDGA Major title. The European Open was established in 2006 and has become the premier professional disc golf event in Europe.
