The first ever Women’s Global Event is just around the corner. There are over 40 registered Women’s Global Events around the world including events in Norway, Finland, Australia and 24 different states. So, find a WGE event near you and sign up online now! We will be accepting online registrations for only three more days. After May 4th, it will be up to the Tournament Director’s discretion to accept ‘week of’ and ‘day of’ registrations.

The PDGA staff has been working diligently to organize and update the enormous list of WGE participants. Currently, there are 479 women participating with huge fields in the Recreational and Intermediate divisions. As we encroach on the 500 player mark, we must specify that we can only guarantee that the first 500 pre-registered (by May 4th) players will receive a player’s pack.

Without the generous donations from our sponsors, the awesome player’s packs would not be possible. Player’s packs consist of a WGE custom-stamped Innova Champion Mamba, a Fly Dyed Discraft Cyclone, a WGE visor, a Women Throwing Frisbees WTF printed towel, and Chick Flick and DiscGolf4Women.com stickers, all bundled up in a WGE printed drawstring bag from Paragon. We didn’t stop with the coolest gear going into our player packs. Check out some of the awesome prizes for our global competition winners.

The top three in every division will earn an engraved WGE bag tag trophy by Disc-Diva to boast their achievement. First place in every division will receive a coupon code for a FREE pair of KEEN shoes. First place in Advanced will win a highly sought after GRIP Equipment bag. Professional divisions will be paid in, the always useful, cash in addition to the Free KEENs and trophy. Other prizes include apparel donations from Huk Lab and She Bangz and vouchers for the PDGA Pro Shop.

To raise awareness and capture the true magnitude of this women’s event, we have teamed up with DiscGolfPlanet.tv to produce a Women’s Global Event show. To cover as many events as possible in the show, we need your help. We will be sending out instructions to your local Event Organizer on how to upload the video. So, if you have a high-quality video camera, be sure to bring it to your WGE on May 12th!
