GK PRO Added to PDGA National Tour, U.S. Masters Media Slate

Wednesday, February 5, 2020 - 18:45

Oklahoma-based video production company GK PRO is taking their game on the road full-time in 2020, and they’ll be stopping off at a handful of the PDGA’s biggest tournaments.

The team -- comprised of Kris VanBecelaere, Blaine Williams, Bobby Cox, and Gabe Dao -- will be on hand to cover the MPO 3 card at the 25th Annual Texas State Disc Golf Championships presented by Latitude 64 before pulling FPO 2 duty at the Dynamic Discs Glass Blown Open. GK will then resume coverage of MPO 3 for the rest of the National Tour, with each of their rounds being released the following day on their YouTube channel.

Additionally, the company will pull double duty at the PDGA Tim Selinske United States Masters Disc Golf Championships in May. They’ll cover both the MP40 and FP40 fields at that PDGA Major, with MP40 coming in next-day form and FP40 the following week.

Williams said the team was confident in its abilities and their decision to leave their day-to-day professions, and that adding the PDGA’s events to their schedule was a plus.

“We all love the sport of disc golf and see the increasing interest in people of all ages,” Williams said. “We hope to be on the leading edge of the future of disc golf. We have a team of guys who are willing to work as a team and make GK PRO successful.”

The addition of GK means at least four cards will be covered in post-produced form on the 2020 PDGA National Tour. PDGA Communications Manager Steve Hill said it’s a way to help the PDGA media department adhere to its mission of helping up-and-coming crews find success.

“Any time we can have more coverage of an event, it’s only a good thing for fans and followers of the sport,” Hill said. “We know it’s a big deal for anyone to hit the road for a full year as they follow their passion, and we’re happy to support GK PRO in that pursuit.”

GK PRO will start their season with coverage of the Las Vegas Challenge A-Tier at the end of February and will also cover several Disc Golf Pro Tour stops. See their full schedule and be sure to add your support through their Patreon page.
