To the Finish Line
Toboggan demands execution and focus every step of the way to the 18th green.
Hole 18 of the famed track demands those two things even more, and that's what Ryan Monn did until the final putt.
The 2024 United States Amateur Disc Golf Championship came down to a dramatic and heartbreaking finish.

After trading blows throughout the final round, Monn stayed clean on the 18th while Lucas Carmichael, who entered the final round with a three-stroke lead and the final hole with a two-stroke lead, found the same trouble that so many others in the 148-player field at this PDGA Major did this week in Michigan.
Two out-of-bounds throws from Carmichael resulted in a three-stroke swing on the 54th hole, which averaged 1.12 over par for the field on Sunday, and set up Monn to execute a nervy upshot and then a simple pitch up to claim his first PDGA Major title with the one-stroke win.
Monn, a South Carolina native, stayed the course on Sunday — scrambling successfully seven times through the rough of Toboggan and hitting 8-of-8 putts from C1X — to turn in a 6-under round and just the fifth bogey-free scorecard of the weekend.
Carmichael was as steady as he had been all week through much of the round on Sunday, rebounding from a bogey on hole 1, adding another eagle with a 65-foot putt on hole 10 and tacking on two more birdies down the stretch before the daunting finish of 17 and 18.
Michigan native Gavin Cunningham went out on an absolute heater, finishing with a 9-under, 1056-rated final round (with two bogeys) to jump 16 spots into a tie for third with Ross Kimbrell, who had a stellar ace during his final round.
