In 2023, the PDGA Masters Disc Golf World Championship will be a combined event between the professional and amateur masters divisions at a site with plenty of disc golf history.
The work begins now to reach Flagstaff, Arizona, which also played host to the 2003 PDGA Pro World Championships.
To compete for a PDGA World Championship, there are a few requirements for an invitation one must meet, and it begins first and foremost with strong play on the course.

A member's primary Worlds division is based on their class, gender, and age and is the division they will be invited to play in at Worlds if they meet the above points criteria. Amateur-class members of any age in 2023 may earn an Amateur Worlds invite to MA1 or FA1 if their rating is high enough, or if they earn a secondary Worlds invite by earning 2,000 points while actually playing in MA1, or 100 points while actually playing FA1, during 2022.
