PDGA Major champions of every kind were crowned in a few different ways on Sunday at the 2024 United States Women’s Disc Golf Championships presented by Mint Discs.

First timers. Back-to-back. Repeats.

Divisions crowned on the final hole. Dramatic playoffs. Close battles. Big wins.

A record-breaking field of 350 players. A record-breaking purse of $126K.

The 25th running of the women's only Major had it all.

There were a number champions from the 21 divisions at the record-breaking USWDGC surrounding the 18th green at Sprinkle Valley when Missy Gannon claimed her first PDGA Major title.

It was a celebration to cap the week-long party in Austin, Texas.

Gannon’s victory wrapped a wild Championship Sunday that started at Sprinkle Valley.

Austin’s own Stephanie Vincent picked up her first PDGA Major victory as well in the FP40 division. Gannon and Vincent were two of 11 first-time Major winners this week.

That list includes 1988 and 1989 PDGA World Champion Chris O’Cleary (FP55), who made her USWDGC debut this year, as well as Shelby Cowen (FJ15), who finished second a year ago at the USWDGC and at the 2021 PDGA Junior World Championships. It was a breakthrough start to the 2024 Major season for FA1 winner Addison Woodard as well. Woodard finished third at the 2023 USWDGC and Am Worlds, and is now a Major champion.

The first champion crowned on Sunday was Sue Horn — PDGA No. 68 — who won her first USWDGC title and third Major.

Several players returned to the winner’s circle, including Juliana Korver (FP50), whose third win gives her 12 overall Major titles, Pam Reineke (FP60) and Sandy Gast (FP65), who both won the USWDGC for the fifth time while both collecting their 11th Major. Patti Adams (FA70) won for the fourth-straight year.

Defending their titles from a year ago were Reineke, Adams, Allie Lawler (FA50), Donna Stanley (FA60) and Hayden Harper (FJ10).

There was plenty of drama on Sunday as well.

Vincent entered the day with a two-stroke lead, which dropped to one after a back-and-forth final-round battle with Jennifer Allen. A two-stroke swing on 17 sealed the three-stroke win for the Texas native.

Down four strokes entering Sunday’s fourth and final round, Eva Lutsenko battled back to tie things up after regulation and won on the first playoff hole in FJ12. Susan Zepeda took down FA4 on the final hole after there was a three-way tie at the top through 13 holes. Adams was tied through 14 holes before finishing with a three-stroke win.

Rolling to big wins this week were Lynne Gerber (FP75), Janae Chaney (FA40), Kim King (FA55), Micah Tilford (FA2), Nikki Haney (FA3) and Rebecca Don (FJ18).
