McBeth makes move, falters late while gaining lead at GMC

Hokom finds separation at Fox Run after difficult morning

The Green Mountain Championship is Chris Dickerson’s fourth Disc Golf Pro Tour event of the season. He needs to finish in the top five to qualify for the Tour Championship, which he won last year. As a result, he is a man on a mission.

Dickerson started Thursday's first round with six birdies. After a couple bogeys, he finished the day with seven birdies in a row. The 11-under par showing was enough to put him in first place, two shots ahead of Paul McBeth.

Hokom weathers adversity—and weather—to take lead

While preparing for the second round of the Discraft’s Green Mountain Championship presented by Grip EQ, Sarah Hokom’s partner and caddie Robin suffered a seizure. A friend drove him to the hospital, and Hokom was left to try and regain her focus.

"Deep breathing, trying to relax, compartmentalizing and support from my card mates is how I got through it," Hokom said.
