Kat Mertsch matched the hot round of the week so far at the famed Toboggan Course to jump three spots into the solo lead. Mertsch was the only player to birdie holes 13-17 in FPO on Friday — a strong finish that has her leading at the midway point of the DGPT+ event.

Mertsch was stellar off of the tee with a 72% mark in C2 in regulation and went 9-for-9 in C1X in putting.

Kristin Tattar followed with a similar 8-under round to move into solo second place, one stroke back. Round 1 leader Ohn Scoggins, who had a 9-under opening round on Thursday, finished 4-under on Friday and is in solo third place at 13-under, two strokes back of Mertsch.

Norway's Anniken Kristiansen Steen rounds out the lead card with an 11-under total and is tied for fourth with Hailey King.

Buhr birdied nine of the first 10 holes, one off the pace of Round 1 leader Isaac Robinson's 10-under round, but, like Robinson, Buhr cooled on the back nine.

Robinson finished 5-under on Friday to drop into a tie for second with Calvin Heimburg, who finished 7-under after an early double bogey. They’re at 15-under, one behind Buhr.

Luke Taylor continued his strong summer with a 7-under round to make the lead card heading into the weekend in Michigan.
