Buhr went 11-under — a bogey-free, 1084-rated effort that's the hottest round of the weekend so far on the Toboggan — to grow his lead to five strokes entering Championship Sunday of the DGPT+ event. Buhr has won the previous three DGPT+ events in 2024 to go with his PDGA Major title at the European Open and an Elite Series crown at the Beaver State Fling.
Ricky Wysocki joined the conversation with a 9-under round and is five strokes back in second place, tied with Calvin Heimburg. Isaac Robinson rounds out the lead card and the chase of the No. 1 player in the world is on.
Handley set the stage earlier on Saturday with a clean, 1033-rated round to jump six spots into solo first place. Handley, looking for her third Elite Series win over the season, was stellar in every area of her game, leading the field in fairway hits, total putt distance (343') and scrambling in windy conditions in Milford.
But her lead is much slimmer, and the field is much closer.
Kristin Tattar kept her spot in solo second place and is one stroke back with an 18-under total. Kat Mertsch sits at 17-under and Hailey King is 16-under as Handley looks to hold on to the lead through one more lap on the hills of Kensington MetroPark.
