Virginia Polkinghorne and Ryan Monn both turned in the hot rounds of the day in their divisions as Championship Saturday arrives in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Polkinghorne, who turns 16 on Sunday, extended her lead to 10 strokes and Monn, who turned 17 on Friday, leads by nine with 18 holes to go.
Coming in with a six-stroke lead, Polkinghorne extended it to double digits with a 5-under round at Rotary Park. On the week, she's averaging 44 points above her rating and is playing the cleanest golf amongst the top of the leaderboard.
Monn had a solid birthday on the course, torching Johnson Park to the tune of a 15-under par to grow his lead to nine strokes. The 1077-rated round is the highest of the young career for Monn, who has two PDGA Major titles in 2024, the USADGC and MJ18 at PDGA Junior Worlds.
Now it's time to finish.
