2019 Las Vegas Challenge presented by Innova Champion Discs
Since its inception in 2000, the Las Vegas Challenge presented by Innova Champion Discs has grown to become the premier professional disc golf event in Nevada. Originally housed at Sunset Park and known as the Gentlemen’s Club Challenge, the tournament now welcomes 570 competitors to three courses at Wildhorse Golf Club every February. Featuring an array of skill levels – from recreational to elite touring professionals – the event is run by an army of dedicated volunteers from the Las Vegas Disc Golf Club and managed by Jacquart Events, LLC.
The LVC was added to the PDGA National Tour in 2017 and has kicked off the professional touring season ever since. Ricky Wysocki and Paige Pierce emerged victorious from the tournament's first National Tour appearance, while Eagle McMahon took down his first career NT victory and Pierce repeated as champion in 2018.
What will this year have in store? With four rounds available for spectating from February 21-24 mere miles from McCarran International Airport and the famed Las Vegas Strip, the excitement doesn't need to be limited to a night on the town. And for those who can't make the trip, we'll be bucking the conventional wisdom about what happens in Vegas staying in Vegas with a host of online media options. Either way, the Las Vegas Challenge provides the perfect kickoff to the 2019 touring season!
