All 2019 current male Professional members eligible for the MP70, MP75, or MP80 divisions in 2020 who completed any PDGA sanctioned tournament (not league) in a professional division during the 2019 PDGA tour year.

  3. Additional Invites:

Any US State, Canadian Province, or International Country that did not have at least 10% of it's resident Pro 2019 tour participants qualify through criteria #1-2 above, will have additional invites provided to the top pro points earners (by highest % of their Primary Worlds Division Requirement) in order to reach 10%.

Primary Worlds Division:

A member's Primary Worlds Division is based on their class, gender, and age and is the divison they will be invited to play in at Worlds if they meet one of the above criteria. Examples of Primary Worlds Divisions for Pros at Master Worlds are: Ages 40-49 in 2020 = MP40 or FP40; Ages 50-54 in 2020 = MP50 or FP50; Ages 55-59 in 2020 = MP55 or FP55; etc.

Important: Only Pro class members at least 40 years of age in 2020 have their Primary Worlds Division held at Master Worlds.
Pro class players of any age in 2020 may have Pro Worlds invites for MPO or FPO based on their player rating.
Amateur members at least 19 years of age in 2020 have a Primary Worlds Division held at Amateur Worlds.
Amateur members age 8 to 18 in 2020 have their Primary Worlds Division held at Junior Worlds.

Primary Worlds Division Invite Process:

A player's Primary Worlds Division Invite uses ALL of their 2019 earned Pro points (regardless of the Pro division they earned the points in) to meet the points requirement for the player's 2020 Primary Worlds Division. This process allows for members to still receive an invite for Worlds even if they had aged into a new age bracket for which they could not have earned points in the previous year.

IMPORTANT: This primary invite process ONLY applies to current 2019 Pro members at least 40 years of age in 2020. A Pro member under the age of 40 in 2020 will have their invite processed for their Primary Worlds Division at 2020 Pro Worlds based on their player rating. (See the "2020 Pro Worlds - Invitation to Register Criteria" document.)

Secondary Worlds Invite Process:

The process for an invite to Master Worlds in any division other than the member's Primary Worlds Division, uses only those 2019 points earned while actually playing in the specific division to meet that division's points requirement.

IMPORTANT: This Secondary Worlds Invite Process applies only to 2019 current Pro members of at least 40 years of age in 2020.

Examples of the Worlds invite process:

A 2019 Pro member who is male and age 64 had earned 55 points playing MP60, 300 points playing MP50, and 550 points playing MP40.

  1. Since he is an MP60-aged player he receives a Primary Invite for MP60 because ALL of his Pro points (905) equaled at least the 60 point requirement for an MP60 Primary Invite (even though he had less than 60 points playing in MP60.)
  2. He also receives an Additional Invite for the MP50 division because he had 300 points actually playing in the MP50 division which met the requirement of 200 points.
  3. He does NOT receive an Additional Invite for the MP40 division as he only had 550 points playing in the MP40 division and the requirement was 600 points.

Additional Important Notes:

An invitation to register for Worlds, does NOT guarantee a spot at Worlds. Timely registration is still required to get in.

ONLY 2019 CURRENT Professional members (prior to 12/15/2019) earn 2019 Professional points towards Worlds invites.

ONLY 2019 Professional points (those points earned playing in a Professional division by a Pro) count towards Criteria #1 & #3.

ONLY 2019 Professional members (by 12/15/2019) are invited to register for the 2020 Professional Worlds.

Please direct any questions regarding the Worlds invitation process to the PDGA Tour Manager.
