2024 PDGA Champions Cup Invitation Criteria Announced

The PDGA Majors Committee has announced invitation criteria for the 2024 PDGA Champions Cup ahead of the first Elite Series event of 2023.

The invite criteria, which includes three additional international events, an expanded Euro Tour schedule, as well as the reintroduction of the MP40 and FP40 Masters World Champions, was designed to honor the champions from disc golf’s premier professional and amateur events.

Invitations to the 2024 edition will be awarded to the MPO and FPO winners from all 16 DGPT Elite Series events, 11 Euro Tour Events, five PDGA Majors and a handful of National Championships including Canadian Nationals, the Australian Disc Golf Championship, the Japan National Championship and the New Zealand National Championship.

Invitations will also be awarded to the top-five finishers from both MPO and FPO at the 2023 Champions Cup, as well as amateur champions in the FA1 and MA1 divisions at Am Worlds, USWDGC, USADGC and the NADGT Championship.

New this year, invitations will be awarded to the MPO and FPO winners of the 2023 Discmania Open, which will represent the 2nd qualifier event in Canada, along with the European Championships and the Tynni Open.

The Majors Committee may, at its discretion, continue to add more qualifying events throughout the 2023 season, and may reserve invites for international players not otherwise qualified (up to five each, MPO and FPO).

Any remaining spots will be filled using a tiered registration system based on PDGA Player Ratings.
