PDGA World Rankings Update - September 2014

Saturday, September 27, 2014 - 19:51

Catrina Allen takes over the top spot in the Women's World Rankings following her win at Worlds. The top three women continue to trade places with Paige Pierce moving up to second on the heels of her win at the just completed US Women's Disc Golf Championship. Valarie Jenkins slips to third in the World Rankings following her stellar final round at the USWDGC that vaulted her up to second.

Paul McBeth remains on top after winning his third consecutive World title after five holes of sudden death versus Ricky Wysocki. Wysocki has now moved into a second place tie with Nathan Doss in the World Rankings, both barely edging out Steve Rico who slipped to fourth by just a tenth of a ranking point.

Several new men and women appear in the World Rankings following their participation in the 2014 PDGA Professional World Championships in Portland, Oregon. There's a decided Western U.S. bias in many of their home locations likely due to their proximity to Portland.
