Course Reviews
This is the most challenging course in the Twin Cities. The course has a great mix of wooded /open holes, distances, elevation changes, and the layout is changed regularly. Baskets and tees are top notch, there is a practice basket, and there is now regularly a little mobile store open during the high season that sells discs and snacks. It can be a bit long and difficult for beginners but for the serious disc golfer this is the best around.
Kaposia is a one of a kind course. I used to play it along with North Valley a few times a month and I will say that nothing else has ever been quite like it. Beginners beware, this is not a fun place to play if you are not confident in your game.
Kaposia is a course that you can love and hate at the same time. If you can stay out of the trees and hit your birdies, you will love it. But if you aren't hitting the fairways off the tee, it can add strokes to your score really quickly. This is my favorite course to play on windy days. The tree coverage really cuts down on the wind factor.
Invest in the season pass. It's well-worth it to see the improved maintenance on the course. Thank you, Mike!
very nice, and very challenging. this course is very well maintained, and it is said they plan to spend upwards to $200,000 on improvements. there is a $5 dollar fee for daily pass, and a $30 dollar fee for a seasonal pass which is also good at the invergrove heights location. please do not be discouraged about this fee for it is neccesary for the repairs that are planned, and i think you will find that the money will be well spent when the course is finnished. i give this course an 8.5 rating out of 10 for toughness, and recommend it.
Rather difficult course with severe elevation changes (both up and down) on a couple of holes. Bring your hiking boots as you are essentially taking a wilderness hike for most of the course (you just happen to be throwing discs while you are at it). As of 2010, there is a $5 fee for a daily pass, unsure of what the annual pass is. Be prepared to spend upwards of 2 and a half hours here if you play all 26 holes.
Pros: Fairly long and tough, scorecards, disc shop on site, fee keeps the course in better repair
Cons: Needs to be more signs saying where to go for the next tee (it is easy to miss a handful of holes), a couple of the pathways from hole to hole are kind of treacherous
Great mix of holes, some open, mostly wooded with some elevation changes. Kaposia is a great course a little difficult to get around if you have never been before so try to follow a group ahead of you or bring a friend. Good for all skill levels a great chance to play a course the pros play

I was excited to give this course a go but found it over hyped once I got to play it. I have played over 100 courses in the last 15 years and did not find that this course offered any more for the pay to play fee than most free courses. Because of the fee and lack of maintenance this course lost points for me. Play and compare Bryant Lake to this course and you will see what I mean, night and day difference. What I liked about this course was the length and tight technical play requirements. Its not a good course for the beginner. Many of the holes require exact shot placement and if you cant keep it in the fairway or walking path on some holes you will add strokes fast or lose discs. Like others have said its a great course when the wind is up.
