Tattar did her part, shooting the hottest round of the week so far at 8-under, but Eveliina Salonen, who led through the first two rounds, was keeping pace with a 5-under round through 17 holes. A double bogey on Hole 18 from Salonen with a birdie from Tattar changed things up quickly.
Salonen is now two strokes back of Tattar at 13-under through three rounds. Ohn Scoggins dropped to solo third and trails Tattar by five. Valerie Mandujano joins the lead card and is nine strokes back of the leader.
Tattar was even through eight holes before taking off with 5-straight birdies on the daunting middle stretch of the course. She led in one stat category on Saturday — strokes gained putting at 4.59.
Silva Saarinen, Madison Walker, Hannah Manis and Hailey King, with the help of an ace on Hole 1, all jumped above the cut line with strong play on Saturday.
It's set up to be a battle to the finish between Tattar, Salonen, Scoggins and Winthrop.
