Tattar took off Saturday afternoon and carried it into Sunday — which included a stretch of 17 birdies in 24 holes over the two rounds — to take the six-stroke win at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina — her first on the property.

Kristian Tattar took the lead at the 2024 Throw Pink Women's Disc Golf Championship with a three-stroke swing on the 18th hole on Saturday.

It can happen just like that Winthrop.

Rebecca Cox stepped up to one of the most daunting putts in disc golf and had a thought run through her head.

"I have to make this putt to stay on lead card," Cox told the Disc Golf Network's Nate Perkins. "I thought to myself, someone who wants to win go for this putt.

"It felt good to do something like that."

Eveliina Salonen carded nine birdies and limited the damage on a windy opening day of the 2024 Throw Pink Women's Disc Golf Championship.

With five birdies in a seven-hole stretch, Salonen opened the action at Winthrop with a 7-under, 1033-rated round and a two-stroke lead.

The reigning PDGA World Champion went 18-of-22 on fairway hits, 10-of-12 from C1X putting and limited four OB strokes to just two single bogies.
