FPO Leaders Chase Double-Digit Under Par
Round one of the DGPT - 2024 Beaver State Fling Presented by Innova saw 19 FPO competitors shooting under par, with a pair of co-leaders just a couple of throws from double-digits under par. Disc Golf Network commentator, Zoe AnDyke remarked that 10-under could be the hot round at the end of day two.
“I feel pretty good. I stuck to my game plan, I left a couple out there, but for the most part I'm pretty happy with [my score].” Rebecca Cox said following her opening round 8-under-par, securing the top spot going into Saturday.
When asked what improvements could be made for round two, co-leader Natalie Ryan said, “There are a couple of holes where I might change up the tee shot driver, but other than that ... just stay clean and stay in the fairway.”
Ohn Scoggins and Anniken Steen will round out the lead card for round two on Saturday.

Heimburg Comfortable at the Top
Wouldn't you know it? Calvin Heimburg is leading a Disc Golf Pro Tour event.
"It felt really good. I came out at the beginning with six-straight [birdies]," Heimburg said about this opening round. "When you start like that, especially on a course like this where it can be tough to sting birdies together, you can kind of relax and let the rest of them come to you for the rest of the day."
Can Heimburg continue the pace set by his bogey-free opening round?
Rounding out the round-two lead card will be 2-time PDGA Professional World Champion - Richard Wysocki, 2017 PDGA Amateur World Champion - AJ Carey, and Elite Series veteran - Matt Bell.
