PDGA Women's Commitee

The PDGA Women's Committee will soon be requesting nominations from current women / girl PDGA members for candidates for the Becky Zallek Women's Choice Award.

In addition to her place in the Hall of Fame, Becky — co-TD of the 2004 Pro-Am Disc Golf World Championships in Des Moines, IA — was also recognized during her too-short life with Volunteer of the Year, Tournament Director of the Year, Sportswoman of the Year, and a Special Services Award. Becky was one of the most beloved figures in the sport before her untimely passing in 2013.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the PDGA is giving back in a big way once again!

Since 2013, the Professional Disc Golf Association has donated $2 for every female that participates in a PDGA-sanctioned event in October to an organization that supports those affected by breast cancer. With the help of over 3,500 female competitors, contributions from Prodigy Discs, the 2014 United States Women’s Disc Golf Championship’s raffle and silent auction, and the Magnolia Open, the PDGA has donated a total of $9,098 to support patients and families who have been affected by this disease.

Join the PDGA in the fight to end breast cancer! For the 3rd year in a row, the PDGA will be donating $2 to the Young Survival Coalition for every female player that competes in a PDGA-sanctioned event during the month of October.

Congratulations to all of the women who participated in the Women’s Global Event this past weekend.

The first ever Women’s Global Event is finally here! Over 600, that's right, SIX HUNDRED women will be competing in the 41 WGEs around the world. Four countries and 24 different states are hosting Women’s Global Events.

Stay tuned to PDGA.com, the PDGA Women’s page and the PDGA Women's Global Event tournament for results, recaps, and all women's disc golf information.

The Women’s Global Event on May 12 is growing to become the biggest Women’s field ever! We’re building the hype as we continue to encourage ladies to find their local Women’s Global Event. So far, we have 121 women registered throughout the 27 events around the US, Norway and Finland!
