Slippery Rock University Disc Golf Links

1 Morrow Way, Slippery Rock, PA, 16057

Redesigned as an 18-hole championship course in July 2014 by J. Gary Dropcho, the Slippery Rock University Disc Golf Links features many wide open holes around the SRU campus and athletic fields. The Worlds layout will use Gold and White level tees. Four holes have pin positions with water in play. Many OB areas and tall meadow grass frame these links-style fairways and greens with 20-100 foot elevation changes and strong breezes to challenge tee and approach shots as well as putts.

Moraine State Park Disc Golf Course

2225 Pleasant Valley Rd. Portersville, PA 16051

The Moraine Lakeview course was opened in 2005, and has two par 5, eight par 4, and eight challenging par 3 holes. The course features Gold tees (concrete) rated at 1000, Blue tees (concrete) rated at 950, and White tees (rubber) rated at 900. Accuracy is a must and good course management is necessary to score well; bad shots are penalized and good shots rewarded. The views and scenery on the course are spectacular, especially the par 4 signature Hole 15 which overlooks Lake Arthur.

Knob Hill Park

Knob Hill Disc Golf Course is true to its name, with striking downhill shots, tricky approaches to fast greens, a mix of open and wooded fairways, as well as a water hazard that require accuracy from tee to pin on every hole. The course opened in 1994 and is being upgraded with concrete Blue and White tees, as well as new championship targets.

Deer Lakes Park

Kurn Rd., Tarentum, PA, 15084

Opened in 2006, the course takes its name from a healthy deer herd and three fishing lakes in this 1,180 acre regional park. The disc golf course features a front and back nine layout that loop from the Blue Gill parking lot. Tightly wooded and grassy rolling fairways as well as elevation changes on the three par 5, six par 4 and nine par 3 holes will make you throw every shot in your bag. Meticulous grooming, three concrete tee pads per hole, pucker-up pin placements, and a signature downhill shot over the lake offer a test of your nerves and of your legs.

  • Par: 66

White Tees
