FPO and MPO race to tight finishes in Oregon

Sunday, June 9, 2024 - 21:50

Up and Down

Despite an early triple-bogey on hole four, Ohn Scoggins clawed her way back into the lead, an effort that culminated with a tied score at the end of 18 holes after the final round.

However, in the sudden-death playoff, Holyn Handley stayed steady and broke through for her first Elite Series win. Handley, a podium stalwart on the Elite Series over the past two seasons, looks to add to her streak at the DGPT - The Preserve Championship connected by Microsoft Teams.

Scoggin's early speedbump proved too much to overcome by the end of the tournament

Ohn’s next event is a defense of her FP40 PDGA Masters World Championship title in Emporia, Kansas, USA.

Buhr Sweeps Oregon

Gannon Buhr, champion of the DGPT+ 2024 Portland Open presented by Latitude64 just two weeks ago, takes down the DGPT - 2024 Beaver State Fling Presented by Innova in dramatic fashion on the final hole of the tournament. Ezra Robinson's late push in the final round ultimately came up short as his putt to push a playoff sailed right on 18's basket.
