5.01 Applicability

  1. The purpose of the Tour Standards is to:
    1. Provide a set of event standards so that Tournament Directors are familiar with expectations and players can expect consistency at each tier level;
    2. Ensure PDGA events are classified into their appropriate tiers; and
    3. Increase the professionalism and marketability of PDGA-sanctioned events.
  2. The Tour Standards apply to every PDGA-sanctioned event except as outlined in Section 6, International Variances and Exceptions.
