5.08 Major and Elite Series Requirements

- In addition to the requirements outlined in the PDGA Tier Standards Chart, Majors and Elite Series events have some additional requirements and regulations.
- Earthen tee pads are not allowed for use at any PDGA Major or Elite Series event.
- Majors receive a complimentary Certificate of Insurance.
- Competitors in Majors and Elite Series events must be current PDGA members and current Certified Officials at the time of both registration and competition.
- Majors have a minimum payout of 125% in all divisions. Amateur divisions at Majors all use the True Amateur format (see Competition Manual 2.05).
- National titles for gender-based divisions are conferred at the United States Women’s Disc Golf Championships. Winners in gender-based divisions at the United States Masters Disc Golf Championships have won a Major title, but not a national title.
- Ancillary events at the World Championships do not confer World Champion titles.
