I did not bring a map - big mistake! Long and challenging mostly open holes with view of the basket blocked and long tight jungle woods holes. good course, definitely worth playing. It is the best course that I have played in Louisiana so far. Well maintained but it looks like it doesn't get a lot of traffic to wear paths between holes so definitely bring a map or a local. Bring skeeter repellant!!! Seems to favor lefties or long Annie's. !! The parking lot to the first tee is about 1/4 mile so you won't be running back to the car for water or an extra disc ( even finding the first tee took some wandering around. A map will save you much frustration!) Only a few baskets visible from the tee and the next tee can be hard to find especially after hole 16. Did I mention the benefits of bringing a map? With all the searching the first round took over 3 hours and I would have quit after 16 if I had known where the parking lot was. More signage, even " next tee" arrows or colored tape indicating the direction if the next tee would really help.
