Idlewild Disc Golf Course... WOW! I have played disc golf for around 12 years. When I first started researching new courses to play fairly close to me, being from TN, I stumbled across Idlewild probably more than 10 years ago. At first sight, I knew this was a course that I eventually had to make it too. In recent years, this course has really exploded in popularity due to the Idlewild Open being added to the DGPT and after more than 10 years of having this course in the back of my mind as a must play, I finally made the 4.5 hour drive to get a round at Idlewild. Was the course worth the wait and drive? Absolutely, 100% worth it! I have played around 80 different courses and this is one of the most humbling courses I have ever played. I wanted to test myself against the 2021 Idlewild Open layout so I didn't play the full local layout, but I definitely got plenty of disc golf in on this 18 hole layout. This is an absolutely incredible course. Tight lines, beautiful greens, roaming hills, water hazards... this course has it all! There is really nothing I can say about this course that everyone else has already said in the other reviews to prove to you that this is a must play course, but I have to say it... if you live anywhere near this course, you absolutely have to get a round in here! This will not be the last time I play this course! I absolutely love it (even though it definitely got the best of me) and it has been added to my list of my favorite courses! If you want to see what it looks like when an intermediate level disc golfer takes on the 2021 Idlewild Open layout from the DGPT, please consider checking out the videos below.

This is not a course for the faint of heart. It is amazing but extremely tough. Truly one of my favorites to play. I recently GPS tracked it and you will walk 2.5 miles with some hills. It has a wide variety of open field and wooded holes (the wooded holes have very tight windows with lots of trees). It has a wide variety of distances some around 300 ft with others pushing 600 and one hole that is 1000 ft! The course winds through valleys and crosses many creeks along the way. It is not only fun but has beautiful nature the whole course. I highly recommend to all players that are up for a challenge

Well everyone loves this course so of course I love this course as well its just really good not flip city style good but great in its own right. It has a huge 1000+ hole but you go off the fairway and your screwed some trimming would go a long way with all the snakes and pocket bushes. Also shade in this course is far and in between which in reality is not picking this course it's still quite good.

Excellent challenge for anyone. Start with IdleMild (No out of bounds) and then take on IdleWild. Well maintained by the course pro and hole sponsors.

Beautiful course, wish it was in my city. Mostly up and down steep hillsides. Island greens add to difficulty. Challenging by distance and technical requirements. Not cart friendly. Took about 3.5 hours for an experienced foursome to play.

This is my favorite course I've been to. Very nice tee pads and signs. A tough course with great scenery. The 1,000 ft. hole is awesome! I can't wait to go back.
