Course Reviews

I'd rate this much higher, but it was incredibly difficult to navigate. The layout must have changed since the map was posted to this site. Don't try to use it, it's incorrect. While there were nice concrete tee pads, they were unmarked leaving you to guess which hole you were on. There was nothing to indicate where the basket was, so we'd have to walk down to find it and walk back. Doubled the steps on my Fitbit, but got pretty annoying. In fact, we never even found the tee pad for 18, but by then we were just ready for a cold one over at Lionstone so we gave up pretty easily. Overall, the park was nice and seemed well mowed and maintained. It had a nice mix of hills and flat areas, trees and tall grass. If it were marked, it could be a favorite course. I hope someone posts a new review if/when that happens and we'll be sure to try it again.

This a good course for mid level and above players. Its is a 18 hole course. Has nice elevation changes. Many challenging holes in length and precision. With a bonus of a few hole that you can just let it rip. Downside is that the course needs a new overall map and new signs at each tee pad, to help new and inexperience players

I enjoyed the course layout except that signs, arrows, markers etc need maintenance. Almost half of the tee signs were either missing or the information had peeled off so finding our way around took some effort. Printing the course map ahead of time will be necessary if it is your first time. The second tee is between the barn and the pine trees and is marked by paint on the asphalt. Locating it had us lost for a while. Nice open area for practice (3 tees/baskets - #'s 19, 20 & 21). This is a windy location in general as evidenced by the 2 wind turbines visible nearby and the wind really becomes a factor on a few downhill shots. I have been here dozens of times and have never seen or gotten poison ivy. In summary, hilly, quality turf maintenance but tees, signs and baskets could use some TLC but if you are getting bored with playing the same old courses in town and wanting to find something nearby that is worth the drive this one definitely is. You will not be disappointed.
