Defining moments happen when the pressure is at its peak.
That’s the point of the Disc Golf Pro Tour Championship, to throw the best players in the sport into the gauntlet, crank up the nerves and let them battle. The Pro Tour season came down to the wire on Sunday with the pressure at an all-time high.

Eight players and 36 holes remain in the 2020 Disc Golf Pro Tour season.
And what a wild ride it's been.
From the Memorial, a shutdown with a restart and all the way through Saturday's semifinals of the 2020 DGPT Championship at the Hornet's Nest in Charlotte, North Carolina, this season is wrapping up the same way it started.

Conventional wisdom has it that players advancing from early rounds at the Disc Golf Pro Tour Championship carry an advantage over those who, by virtue of their higher seeding and according to the Championship’s unique format, are thrust into the fray mid battle.

It has been a proud symbol of the City’s fighting spirit ever since General Cornwallis bemoaned the “hornet’s nest of rebellion” as he fled with his troops following the Battle of Charlotte in 1780.
On Thursday, as 16 of the top 32 MPO players on the Disc Golf Pro Tour took on Hornet’s Nest Park for the first round of the 2020 Tour Championship, it became clear that, 240 years later, Charlotte can still carry a sting.
The culminating event of the 2020 Disc Golf Pro Tour takes place this weekend with the Disc Golf Pro Tour Championship. The competition will take place from October 15-18 with feature and lead card coverage broadcast live on the Disc Golf Network. The live coverage will be split into two separate broadcasts with MPO being covered Thursday-Sunday starting at 2:35 PM ET and 9:25 AM ET Friday-Sunday for FPO.
Post-Production coverage will be provided by JomezPro, Gatekeeper Media, and GK Pro.

The Disc Golf Pro Tour is upping the ante once again at the Tour Championship, which is set to kick-off today in Charlotte.
When the Tour announced that $15,000 would be paid to the winner of both the MPO and FPO fields, it was hailed as a milestone, both as a record-shattering figure for the FPO field (previously $5,500 at the 2017 PDGA Pro World Championships) and as a timely symbol of equality for women’s disc golf.
